As I look through dusk colored eyes the voices within draw silence.
Running memories through my head, looking for the moment our steps grew weary.
I drag myself through the catacombs of what we were, or so I thought it was, I find your hand in the darkness.
I reach out to a scared child grip as you pull away fearing the hurt you hold inside.
Crumbling into myself I ask why it is me, you too fear.
Deadlock stare, we whither in spite of ourselves.
