Ralph Waldo Emerson Prophecy

High omens ask diviner guess-
then the spirit strikes the hour,
though it change every minute-
and burned in noble hearts proverb and prophecy-

still whispers to the willing mind-
and their lips the secret kept,
without wailing, without fear.

The word unto the prophet spoken,
"he shall be happy in his love
which knits the world in music strong,
a single will, a million deeds-"

Shines the peace of all being,
and the sum of the world,
in heaven no star, on earth no spark-"

use and surprise,
surface and dream-
Nature, who lost, cannot remake him-
whose voice, an equal messenger-

"let man serve law for man-
life for friendship, live for love
life is too short to waste"

You truly are the Queen of the Cento. I really love this. It's different than your usual style as it's written in tetrameter and reads out loud so smoothly. Great work on this one!

    Love,
    Amera♥
