omnia chaos

he begs
see me through tonight
and I'll worry about me tomorrow
and he goes out for a little walk
and comes back with a little less sorrow
I look outside the window burdens naked in the snow
smoke on the mirrors of your eyes, I hope the shadows go
and I wonder if it shows
that you're my muse

you go out for a smoke, posture all nonchalance
but the shaking gives you away
inhale, exhale, swig, swallow
the things that haunt you to this day
I pick up your heartache and it whispers so softly
all the things you cannot say
little boys have to be tough, I guess
he mutters as he slouches away-
a ghost

cloudy murky melancholy night
hard to imagine the strength it would take
but I can feel it inside of me,
inside of you
our blood is good for more than this
our veins are paths that go more than one way
I can feel it, the chaos and the call
but soon it will be day
and sprinkled with drops of watercolor sky
and swathed in the waking grass
we'll blink away the morning gray
and know "this too shall pass"

so you,
you
my original rebel
for you I think magic exists

Great job! I love the emotion is this piece, it's very raw and real. Your vocabulary usage was great and seemed very natural, good job. There were some grammar errors, like not capitalizing I. I know how hard it is to see a loved one go through that, all you can really do it pray for them. Good job and good luck in the contest.

I wish I knew what to say after these poems, but honestly, they leave me speechless! I just love your use of words like, "smoke on the mirrors of your eyes"... I'm amazed. this is beautiful!
