what hopeless flower

what hopeless flower
grooms nectar
for a spit of honey?
what pointless brow
polishes seed
for looming sin?

you need not answer-
the knowing sun
throws flames
upon your petals
and truth into your face

your eyes turn down
to the floor
and all its' bounty
where the dreaming sisters lay
beneath the mighty stem
and all it's juice

abed,
abed again,
abed forever
and she only feels
the wind,
the curve
and the full of the moon,
wet and dripping

    fantastic

"where the dreaming sisters lay" reminds me of 'nuns' lol. I found this quite an obscure piece in a sense, it's apparent meaning, in verse one, is not immediately apparent, yet, as with all good poetry it requires many readings and this piece is guaranteed to be read over and over again without any deminishing enjoyment. personally i think it is an excellent poem, and the latent sexuality within it is a joy to read

What a beautiful piece! Stunning! Definitely worthy of the silver it received. Unfortunately, it was created on the 22nd, which is not one of the dates I was looking for. Thanks for entering my contest. It’s an honor to have you show your work here!
