Forever Connected

Missing image
Dreams stagnant,
collected into celestial cesspools
of crushed hopes,
where they suffocated in shattered stardust

~.~.~.

Two different worlds
one brilliantly lit,
with colors of the rainbow,
the other, dark and devilishly demented,
black, without light

so far apart
but reaching across time itself,
in memories
in emotions

never forgotten

Streams of consciousness still alive
even when tethered to the dead,
the dark stars, the black holes;
visions still reaching through dimensions
crossing all boundaries and borders
to break through,
to invade thoughts

forever connected through minds,
space, time, worlds unknown

Floating through the heavens,
soaring among the stars,
touching the moon,
dreams, thoughts, memories

….forever connected

Author notes

not sure...lol
I guess just thoughts on dreams, thoughts, and emotions - how they cross through time, stick in your mind, feeling like time hasn't passed at all.......
not sure...lol

    Edge of my Seat:

Very good poem about how the universe and dreams can connect us with who we are. Well, that's my interpretation. I love how you wrote about dark stars. It made me think of a dwarf star which dies and isn't visible to see. I really like how you wrote this. Very nicely done. Great job.

The dark stars are sometimes the dark thoughts - that are ever connected to us through memories.....

this to me is like the light world is the happy part of your life and the dark is a bad time you had, most probably with someone who has died, -by their own hand?- and the two are equally strong within you and always you'll be united with this person who died, they were very important to you. I like writes that make me think, it was a pleasure to think about this one, not too complicated, nor too simple.

Thank you so much 'celadia' for reading and your lovely comment. I am pleased you found this write interesting - and thought provoking.
It was a lot of thoughts going through my head - an 'old' love who was 'bad' basically - but the thoughts and feelings last through memories - connecting forever in the mind. And the universe is like that with us also - everything connecting. As they say, every act has a re-action.....and consequences.....and memories attached.
yes, there were 'deaths' floating through this also - the death of both of my parents in the last year, the death the docs say I will have prob. soon......
so - many thoughts just drifting and colliding together...lol
      again, thanks

    Definitely "Universal Thinkers"

This is simply fantastic! You have taken a fact and woven it in a way that reveals the complexities of our universe: the fact that we are not the thinkers, merely the chooser of which thought to bring captive. From the day we are born, there exists that connection to our Creator Father: which gets either stiffled or enhanced by the earthly parents. Still, there always remains a certain awareness of God, despite a person's adamant denials.

This is such an exceptionally good poem, Sis! It has to be a winner!

    Luv & hugs, SisBon

Interesting. For sure there would be no light without darkness. It is the backcloth to our dreams.I like where your thoughts went with this, for as you say darkness and light are for ever connected, Ros

Yes, darkness and light are forever connected. As are dreams and emotions. An old love can still bring emotions years later, that seem as 'new' as they were in the past. And when one tries to escape the darkness into the light, the memory of the darkness is still in them forever....still connected....
      again, thanks!
