This Galaxy's Orbit

you're the only planet in my stars
the only feeling I care to reach for
let's settle in this galaxy's orbit
when we kiss I feel a meteor hit

the pools of green rocket to my heart
you left a crater cracking from the start
let's rotate in reverse, turn back time
bring us back to when you were mine

I'd give up the center of my life
I'd let the sun burn out and die
for one last chance to hold you tight
blinking quickly in the darkest night

my imagination absorbs this world
you're the only sound to be heard
we dance in storms of starry skies
my breath fades as you help me fly

you could have been my universe
now you're just a lonely poem's verse
I guess I'm merely lost in existance
you took my moon and sun in that kiss
