You developed an illusion,
Based nothing on the reality.
Honesty was my policy-
Denied by your fantasy.
What were you hoping to find here?
Your lies bleed through the waves;
Heart-wire broken.
Making me feel less than my truth.
You couldn't control me,
So you fed poison to your friends.
You couldn't understand-
Why I wouldn't stay under your thumb.
I saw through your false-polished gloss,
Scratched the surface of your mask-
Found your black heartless heart.
So as you washed your hands of me,
I wash my mind of you.
Your grip weakened and severed-
The wires are cut.
