You take comfort
And sigh with relief
When they say
"No, I'm not leavin'."
You follow their
Healing fingertips
With your heart
As they traverse
Up to your chin
Silk sheets meet
Feather pillows
In a reassuring unity
Of their lips with yours
So subtle they are
So safe they are
No intentions
Of passing and catching
Fire
This isn't meant to go anywhere
This isn't meant to waste time
This is to reach out
With love on their lips
And save you
And for once
You are saved
You, actually,
Are saved

Maybe it's jsut because I got done reading some of her poems, but this reminded me of Emily Dickinson a little. At least, with the flow.
