Princess
Battles her cage
Clanging for me to get up
Time for her cantaloupe breakfast
And my cup of hot orange cappuccino
Yet she wants mine instead of hers
Thus dances on my feet
And nips my toes
Princess

Princess definitely rules the roost! She is positively spoiled rotten but as cute as they come.

my 'princess' is a cat! And she has to check out anything we eat - she won't eat it, won't touch it - but has to KNOW what we are having!....lol

My cat, a Chinchilla Persian who died a few years back and was huge compared to Princess, had absolutely no say in anything; always having to defer to Princess' rule. Big Texas T was about 25-lbs of muscle with fur a mile long, a thick tail even longer, and Princess is about 1.5-lbs. T's favorite, however, was ferret Bandit who, in T's last weeks, stayed right with T wrapped around his back feet that were cold. When T left us, I thought Bandit was going to grieve himself to death but he made it through. Animals are so incredible and precious!

Speaking of your 'princess' cat, I grew up with Cissie; who had her own chair and plate at the dinner table. She insisted upon oatmeal for breakfast and ate it with her paw, and at dinner got the meat scrapes mother would put on Cissie's plate. She wasn't to touch it, though, until we finished eating. However, Cissie would look around at each of us, close her eyes and snatch a bite with her paw. Guess if she couldn't see us, we wouldn't see her!

      Luv & hugs, SisBon

aww - what a wonderful, but sad, story...
Our 'princess' is also a Persian. Long hair, such a pretty face - but such a little demon! She makes the rules, she breaks the rules - she even torments our 20 lb. Siamese, although she would be lost without him.
We had a doberman who sounds like your 'Cissie' - he wasn't allowed on the couch, but would go into the bathroom and pull my housecoat off the door, then get under it on the couch! - he figured if we didn't 'see' him, it was ok....lolol.....and if the kids went out on their slip-and-slide, he would get behind them in line and take his turn too! He was so 'human' and funny, that when we lost him we never got another dog.....
        luv & hugs
        sisBoom.....lol
