Through The Darkness To Become Light

Only darkness veiled the earth's face,
omnipresent spirit was there in space.
He spoke the words...let there be light,
now good light and darkness must divide.
Into the darkness doth the light to shine,
a perfect gift from above is yours and mine.
Creation began with everything in His sight,
only by the Father of lights.

His word is a guided lamp for our path,
darkness can't comprehend what we have.
Let your light shine before all of mankind,
to reveal all of your goodness as a sign.
Out of marvellous light, no longer in the dark,
standing like beacons secure on our landmark.
Keeping us from evil is His plight,
remember He is our light.

Light has come into all the world,
blocking evil deeds trying to unfurl.
Guiding our feet to make way for peace,
walk in the light to make dark shadows flee.
Imagine our lights connecting to each other,
glorious beams of love will sweetly smother.
In Him no darkness can ever abide,
the Lord giveth us all that same light.
