Dance Baby, Dance

Dance Baby, Dance

With chubby little cheeks and thighs
And saggy diapers hanging low
We danced beneath the moonlit skies
With chubby little cheeks and thighs
We never cared about our size
And never cared that we would grow
With chubby little cheeks and thighs
And saggy diapers hanging low

It's strange how one word or phrase in a poem can conjure up ideas in our imaginations. The words saggy diapers made me think yuck, yuck, yuck; it conjured up memories of an explosion in a piccalilli factory and terrible smells.

    Thanks for the memory,
    Love, Peter

A catchy tune in this poem. Made me want to get up and dance, I no longer have saggy diapers, but now I have baggy pants. Good luck in the contest. Papagallo

LOL...I of course thought of the ones in nursing homes towards the end, like how we can even be wearing depends and dancing with chubby cheeks. Masterfully done rewrite. Blessings.

That would be Ali MacBeal's dancing Baby I think.

It is very hard to make a triolet sound like poetry, and you seem to manage so effortlessly, wonderful
