Among The Stars

Cosmic splendor, intangible beauty,
reaching into the galaxies far away.
Ride the tails of the shooting stars,
float beyond Orion and Milky Way.

Constellations dance in solar system,
heavenly bodies twirl around sun.
There is soothing sound of silence,
wonder bursts, new nova has begun.

Roam for eternity, oh mythical Gods,
diamonds sparkle far as eye can see.
Reflects path for ancient warriors,
slain in battle throughout mythology.

The solar winds whisper their names,
echoing across the ebony night sky.
Trapped in timeless voids for infinity,
souls captured after the battle cry.

The planets will spin forever slowly,
constellations will mirror their light.
Ancient Gods will wander aimlessly,
amongst the galaxies mid starlight.

    Space that is my pleasure, gazing at the zillions of stars, galaxies, and so many unseen galaxies, and here I am in awe of it all. What a grand Creator, with love that made all these things. Loved this.

    Awesome Sandy, I love poems about the galaxy and the constellations, looking back I think I would have made a good astronomer...I dearly love to dabble in astrology...but would like to study the planets...mystic

    Makes me wish I could soar high in the night sky amongst the stars. Can you imagine how beautiful that would be. Your poem made me remember my nights at sea; the sky was just a cluster of stars that cannot be seen from on land. Sandy, it was simply a wonder to see. Papagallo
