When Love Grabs Hold (sonnet)

There’s a unity when two souls combine
Coming together in distance and time
A display of an ultimate design
To witness something in ultimate prime
They will blend as one, forming new life
Nothing can break them, nor tear them apart
They’ll make it past trials, through all the strife
Forming a bond that will engulf the heart
It’s a thing of beauty, a wondrous feat
With its brilliance, it out dazzles the sun
In the dark of night, it lights up a street
Nothing of this magnitude shall be undone
It will wrap you up close, and hold you tight
There’s naught to beat it, or match its delight
