I Talk of How

This feeling puts a load on my heart
however it is a load I shall keep
for this feeling consumes the inside of me;
makes me strong when I am weak

My feelings grow stronger
and out of control
and as I fall
you catch me;
it is only me that you hold

As you look into my eyes
I start to cry
not knowing the reason for my tears
you help me up;
and start talking of how you'll always be here

I stop you mid-sentance
tears still fogging my eyes
"I know you'll be with me"
I say as I cry

The confusion on your face
makes me explain further
I began to talk
of how crazy it is
that we're together

Of how you look at me with that breath taking awe
Like you've seen something
grasped something
that you will never let fall

Of how you say the simplist things
and yet they mean everything

Of how you don't know
what kind of effect you have on me
I wake up with a smile every morning
because I still have my baby

Of how I can be with you
it baffels me every time you whisper
Our love is true

Your love overcomes me
pulling me in with the tide
and even when I go under
you're there by my side

I love you with everything in me
there's not a thousand words that could explain
but this feeling is the only one I feel
I'm glad this isn't a fairytale
Thank God this is real

I wish you could know
all that I feel
I wish I could show you
that this feeling I have is forever real

Take me under with the tide
Forever together we shall hide♥

    i am so speechles that this brought a small tear to my eye. because i still hold this feeling true to someone that is very close to my heart. even though we are no longer together.

    Excellently written and crafted. Loved every word, some of the rhyme and rhythm came in spurts but actually had the impact of showing an amotional wave of love so deep it makes one burst into poetry, like you simply wrote from the heart and posted. Very well done.
