Hello from the man in the checkered pants.
French exhale and tell me of the day.
Tell me about life in the swamp.
Tell me of the alligators that bit at my feet.
Hello from the man in the checkered pants.
Shutter at the thought before you reply.
Tell me about the children starving.
Tell me of the flies that land on their faces.
Hello from the man in the checkered pants.
Once again bite your tongue and repeat.
Tell me about the real apocalypse.
Tell me of the bomb throwing anarchy.
Hello from the man in the checkered pants.
Uncover your ears and speak the truth.
Tell me about the cheating hearts.
Tell me of their lustful souls.
Hello from the girl with the sorrowed eyes.
Longing to hear the evils of the world.
Tell me about the death spiting monsters.
Tell me of the worlds darkest nightmares.
Author notes
longing to see the troubles of the world, not to change them.
just as a sick way to see that life could actually be worse.
Who are you asking?

I like how this took a different turn from your usual things, much like the other poem about society. It's like you've stretched out your genre to more than love and sex and have gone on to more things. I like this change. These types of poems truly intrique me. Great work yet again.
