Coffee Cup Stains

Rings from coffee cup on nightstand,
crumbs from the crackers we shared.
Both sad reminders of our rendezvous,
they remain, your love disappeared.

Sweet night turns a bitter sunrise,
as morning turns silent and cold.
Coffee cup rings on the nightstand,
now alone with no one to hold.

This is short and sweet that has been left with bitter taste as the relationship disappears before morning light shines through the window. The only glow now is rings on the night stand. Nicely gets the reader going with this wonderful work that takes the prompt molding emotions as it moves forward

This is so tragically sweet. I just know what you're saying. Seems I've seen the last traces of someone who's gone away all to often too. Beautifully done.
