Then and Now

There in solitude
I sat and contemplated-
love songs for no one

Now we lie here joined
She the loveliest poem-
My pen rendered mute

Author notes

Just the funny nature of the perceptions and realities of love. Many of the love poems I've written weren't for anybody in particular, now I've found a woman I love and can't express it with any talent. But frankly I don't care, I've got love.

Best and worst aspects.
