Elophence of the Elequant

Missing image
The thing about an elephant ~ it's so misunderstood;
it's not cut out for trekking hills or dragging logs of wood.
It longs to be a dancer dressed in tutu and some points...
I bet you'd no idea it is blessed with double joints!

An elephant can do the splits and pirouette with grace,
you should see it tiptoe through the sand without a single trace!
With limbs so lithe and lustrous it was born to be a star,
so all that we poor fools can do… is worship from afar.

    I could see this illustrated as a funny storybook for older kids or even a song, the imagery is soo clear - and funny. (kids love humour too) great read.

    Our elephants aren't that keen on ballet (one of them does however tapdance) but they are good on a bike.

    Great stuff
