Shakespeare took her to bed.
Later, so I'm told, he said:
"My mind is still in quite a blur,
for Anne forsooth hath a way with her."

I don't really understand the piece, though written great! Thanks so much for taking the time to enter my contest!

Thankyou for commenting. If you 'google' Anne Hathaway, wife of William Shakespeare, it may help you better understand.
Thankyou also for your applause.
Best wishes from 'down-under'.

Haha, I'm sure he has nothing to worry about, this is sweet and rather humorous and I am certain he would hasten to agree. Though he only let her sleep in one of his two beds, didn't let her in the other one. A bit of useless trivia for you there, but true nonetheless. Nicely wrote!

Thankyou for your comments. I was aware of the first and second best beds, (isn't Google marvellous?) but thought it might complicate my little ditty.
Best wishes

It's breakfast time here in Perth, Western Australia, so you must be up late to reply so promptly to my writing.
Thankyou for your complimentary comments and for your applause, both actual and intended.
Have I asked you previously from whence you hail in the U K?
I like to bridge a fifty year period of migration when I read a member's profile and wonder whether by some chance he/she is from some place where I may have lived in my 'Old country'.
Best wishes, on what promises to be a hot summer day here,
Shenton
