In-between tears and sighs
I vowed to both you and I
I’d never miss you
Because you simply weren’t worth it
I’d never miss the way
I used to lie in your arms
And the rest of the world
Would disappear for that time
I said I wouldn’t miss
The times we spent
Hours and hours and hours on the phone
Laughing, joking and sharing secrets
How could I possibly miss the way
Everyone in your life knew about me
And your love for me
Even when I didn’t know them
And I told myself I’d never ever miss
Someone who broke my heart
After eleven months of
Me loving them like I’ve loved no other.
But the reality is,I miss you and still so much sometimes.

Written about a true story....7months after splitting up with my ex, I lay in bed the other night after a day of being surrounded by memories to do with him and thought "wow I miss him"
