Requiem for a Poem

Desires dredged along in verse.
Scouring depths of manic soul.
It's life fast fading oozing worst,
From it's weaving breathing flow.

Strangulated in it's message sated.
Anticlimactic coma at it's end .
Cerebral motives self imploding,
Spewed waves of ghosts transcend.

Once it's body scrolls down descending.
The parchment's fill in final phrase.
It's only powers, a memory avenging,
A requiem hymn of poetry saged.
