When overwhelmed it doesn't help
To know things could be worse.
Offered in vague obscured stealth
In compulsions of others who observe.
Pollyanna's panorama doesn't really show.
Offered in faux concerns of what ails us
In vastly done innuendo capriious.
Mission one of our battles won
Must be to heal thy self.
Be a good physician in your decisions
Of loving self respect above all else.
For if you don't care about your own welfare,
who else would know how bad you felt?
Author notes
If this by chance, comes across as self centered, believe me it's not. To be taken seriously by others, one most be serious with themselves first and foremost.Sound advice I can give but rarely find me taking. And I need to.
