Don't know
why I draw so much attention
from the Devil in my life!
Surely I am nothing to him
but a cheap pawn
in the high stakes game
of WIN,LOSE or CRAWL!
The contest has raged for centuries,
as the devil contends with God,
all bent out of shape because he wanted to be
the ruler of all and have his bloody way!
So as they say,
being mad at the DOG
(in this case reversed)
he kicks the cat!
(Me!--Ow!!!)
I'm caught up somewhere in middle
of the ongoing conflict and find myself
stomped down many times
by this fierce and bitter antagonist
I have been laid low many times
but not so low that
with the help of God
I could not, even while still in this life
be resurrected and stand upon my feet again!
That's what's known as Success!
Not of my own doing or power
for then I'd surely have been
stomped to death long ago by Satan's hateful vengance.
Because of a Loving, Caring God who allows me to suffer
I can appreciate His Help and my need for it!
The Victory is through the Almighty One
Who is willing to lift me up
after I have feebly sought to take a stand for Him
The mighty and awesome "roaring lion"
stands in the way and does all that he can
with his tremendous but limited power
to divert me from the cherished fellowship of the Divine.
Yes, I have the stomp marks in my life and flesh
some scars of sin, for which I'm also responsible--
but thanks to a loving, caring, and powerful God,
He gives me the lift of Victory
He'll continue to do so
until this vicious enemy of all that's good
is forever put down in defeat
negating all the triumphs of his many skirmishes
never to rise again!
Amen and amen!

This is a testament. It is how you make the joyful noise unto our Lord. For this rings out loud and clear. Beautiful. You couldn't have chosen a better person(in my opinion) to help you than Kathleen a Nazarene. I truly admire her work and the inspiration she puts into each piece. Always God is the victorious one. We all have our scars of wrong decisions--Wrong paths we have taken--Wrong in the ambitions we are seeking--We have indeed, been beaten and scarred, but with Him, we are never defeated.
If God is with us, Then the ultimate victory is ours!
