She whispers and entwines
like a climbing rose
who’s perfume intoxicates
with promises of fantasy.
She flows into my veins
and bleeds words onto
alabaster pages.
She tears my heart
turning her back on me
in my need only to
tease me onward in
giddy intimate touches.
Her name is poetry
and I am her willing slave.
