Ever Changing Landscape

I recall nineteen years ago,
when I drove into Washington to live.
It seemed so magical to me:
a place of beauty and people who give.
Each season changes its landscape:
spring bringing a profusion of delight;
roddies of ev'ry size and shade;
tame or wild, they are ev'rywhere in sight.
Summer air is sweet and salty,
ringing with buoy bells and plaintiff gulls;
her sunrises painting shores pink,
and sunsets that charm souls, my spirit lulled.
Soon, fall brings awesome harvest moons,
sometimes resting atop islands, it seems;
then, clouds sneak in with their myst'ries
of mournful foghorns, hazy lights and dreams.
Ah, but winter has the magic
of white velvet, sparkling with precious gems:
a fairyland of gentle hush,
burrowed creatures, and children all a grin.

Sounds like a beautiful place to be.
Soon, fall brings awesome harvest moons,
sometimes resting atop islands, it seems
This I would really like to see.
Beautiful poem
Thank you for your entry.
I love the picture. -
Yes, that is Washington alright and the beach always makes the feelings well up in me. I love winters here for the oppurtunity to come to life inside and do creative things. Bravo.

Lovely.
The graphic reminds me of the type painting that one artist taught each week. The wording to it makes the piece work out well.
