I've given up all expectations that it's possible to have a meaningful life.
I once was filled with inspiration, but that lion heart has lost his pride.
I fought for what I believed in, I fought for what I thought was right.
But in the end, the path of the righteous lost the fight.
Everything we stood for, all that we achieved.
Doesn't mean anything anymore, how can some of us not see?
This world has lost its luster; this world has lost its touch.
And until this world changes, this world won't gain back my trust.

that is a very meaningful poem. it shows that you have some idea what many soldiers have gone through but you gotta understand some people still believe in the war. so becareful on what you say.

Justin,
I think everyone has gone through a time or two when they are furious with the world and humanity in general. I am definitely there myself. The colors of the world have seemd to drain away... and I've lost my paintbrush.
"but that lion heart has lost his pride."
Amazing line.
I love short and powerful poems. When they are well written, much like in ur case, you only need a few lines to express yourself. And its done so quite beautifully.
I love your work, always have.

Sad write, but expresses those feelings quite well. Looking at the world as a whole can often be really discouraging, but recognizing the amount that one individual can change makes can help one push on.
