Somewhere Out There...

from somewhere out there,
you are here,
watching over me...

that was proved
yesterday,

when a scared little boy,
though a tough young man
went into the OR.

You gave a sign,
no matter the size,
to tell him,
reassure him,

you were there,
holding his hand.

No matter what happens,
no matter the distance,

you are there,
you are here,
when you are needed...

our guardian angel,
to this day,
even though
you are

somewhere out there,
you are still here!

Author notes

Ok, the story behind this...

Some of you know that my son had to have surgery yesterday, and they couldn't put him to sleep due to a heart condition, well when I logged on today, I found a note from him, and this piece came from it.

"hey mom. i thought you should know something. before my surgery i was really scared. but then when they were reeling my bed into the OR, i saw something that instantly calmed my heart. outside the room they were putting me in there was this lil plaque that said. "Donated by Troy Mills" when i saw that it instantly put my mind at ease. Grandpa was watching over me"

I love you Daddy! Thank you for watching over Justin!

very good, I likeyour writing style, it has awonderful style to it . You have the ability to draw the reader into your message, yet you di in a relaxed, simplistic manner. This is a sad poem, yet it is ine which offers hope and inspiration, anice spiritual poem, about your son. I assume that you speak of the lord in it, rather than a father, or someone else. A job well done. I enjoyed it.
    Best regards,

    John

No, I am talking about my dad, he passed away almost 5 years ago, and the operating room that my son was in, was donated by "troy mills" where he worked for 30 plus years. My son was very close to his grandpa, so seeing that plaque outside the room, my son felt very relaxed and knew his grandpa was there watching over him while they did the surgery.

Sometimes we find ourselfs in the center of the ring with pain on our back and sorrow in our eyes. I know that pain to see someone suffer a great deal or to see the pain coming from a small child eyes. It eats at your soul and you wonder what could cause this much pain to such a small person. But pain is everywhere and caqn be heard and seen through the whole world. We live it and then we see the little moments that makes us who we are!!!

    Great Write!!!

    " our guardian angel,
    to this day,
    even though
    you are

    somewhere out there,
    you are still here! "

I believe that even if our love ones are no longer here on earth with us, they still protect us from heaven. We may not be able to see them any more, yet they still remain with us always. They continue to love and care for us. And when we need them most, they are always with us.
I am a true believer in Angels.

I pray that your son is doing well.
I shall keep you and your family in my prayers.

    Loveandblessings2u & yours always
    Love Ya,

Our dearly departed loved ones are always watching over us.

Thanks for sharing this spiritual, emotional, heartfelt, soulful and beautiful piece with me today. Surgery is always scary no matter how young or how old you may be! Take it from me - a quick and full recovery - is what we all are praying and hoping for for Justin and for anyone else that has to go into the O R!
    Peace & Love!

Thanks Bob. I know I almost cried when I found that message. Even though as I said, he is a tough young man, he is still a little boy inside, and well I couldn't believe how that little plaque gave him such courage.
