I or You?

If I were you,
And you were I,
We could see things from each others eyes.
If I were you I could see all the beauty you see in me.
And if you were I,
You could peek in my world and see you as me.
When I open my eyes as you,
I see more beauty than I ever saw as me.
When you open your new eyes,
Do you see you as I see you?
Do you see strength and beauty?
If you could see you as I see you now
you would see;
love and admiration,
you would see;
hopelessness hidden beneath a pale skin,
a painful past and brand new future,
a new person inside the rough edges of your past,
you would see such a strong love for me as me,
a love that I would never dream to leave
