Sweet Seraphim Two

Sweet Seraphim spoke in a child's soft tone,
"Tell me a tale of your forgotten years.
You mustn't worry, you won't go alone,
Together we'll go to face your lost fears."

He stalled and resisted her gentle prod,
As if she'd placed glue on his grown-up shoes.
She laughed, "I see mister, this will sound odd,
For this walk, a man's form will be no use."

She reached out her hand to pull him along,
His hand turned childlike as their fingers met.
Their spirits touched, he felt suddenly strong,
And relived fears that took years to forget.

His father smiled and his mother grew eyes,
While sweet seraphim sang new lullabies.

Author notes

Because maa asked...twice. Thank you. I needed encouragement. And because it was time to add a new chapter in this series. This is not the end. Part One is here: http://allpoetry.com/poem/4676745

I had to read this 3 times to feel the words. They were beautiful! The highest ranking of angels leading us to our most forgotten times with childlike innocence. That's the message I am taking with me from this poem.

This is very special to me

Yes the small child needs to be taken by the hand so that it can understand why things happened as they did. That child also needs a big cuddle

    absolutely breathtaking !
    a verse for maa's treasure chest ...
even if I realize that this verse springs from the depth of your soul, it holds intimate inner keys to unlock rusty doors of collective (un)consciousness within the universal mind ...
I love this verse so much ... and since "alle guten dinge sind drei" (all good things come in three), you know there is somebody sitting here waiting for the river to continue flowing ...
    I'll be patient, I promise ...

What a wonderfully cathartic read! You have a knack for making the deepest writes with the simplest words. What a wonderful talent. I understand this completely and love every word.
