As the breeze whispers its kind lullaby
Snow falls softly from the downy clouds
Like white angels descending from the heavens
Dyeing the summer grass snow white
In the midst of the pure white meadow stands a lone tree
Holding its leafless branches up to the frozen sky
It catches the fragile crystals with its frigid arms
As it silently sighs to the lofty wind
Places change like the seasons
Like emotions as they come and go
But time has frozen for the abandoned heart
Whose bitter melancholy hardens it like stone
Soon the sun will return to the empty sky
Bathing the changing places with its gentle light
And its warmth will cause the frozen heart to stir
One day awakening it from its long, weary slumber
