Just a young thing
an angel here on Earth
With an illness that
torn her away
long before she should have died
She was so very precious
each day she would smile
even when the pain was
so overwhelming
She should have lived longer,
and in her place I would have
gladly have taken her place
To have her here once more
within loving family arms
I would travel to the other side
and stay among the angels
Sweet angel now gone
torn from life way to soon
It is her sad worried voice
that I hear calling me at times
but at others.. letting me know all is okay
Author notes
This goes out to a very special family member
she died and at that time, I would have willingly
have taken her place.. and without some friends
I almost joined her .. not taking her place
