My dear mother seldom,
intentionally,
used any rude or swear words.
But, at a small gathering
at her home,
to take tea with friends,
she was proudly showing off
a tea-pot which she had
only recently acquired;
but never before used,
was heard to exclaim,
when it proved to be a bad pourer:
" Oh drat! This new tea-pot pours
so sporadically I can only describe it
as flowing in stits and farts."
