My heart that holds empty shadows,
Listens to voices as wind blows,
Indistinct echoes bring no cheer,
When all I want is you right here.
Vacant words resound in hollows,
My heart that holds empty shadows,
No hope of touching love's delight,
Until I meet the endless night.
Vibrant smiles lie in retention,
In vivid dreams, your dimension,
My heart that holds empty shadows,
To wake, alone, with my sorrows.
'Love again' you said, 'set me free',
Yet without you I will never be,
'Tis for you my love still grows,
My heart that holds empty shadows.

i love the great message behind this, it really was beautifully written, and the rhyming really helped to add meaning to the poem. i personally think you used the word "shadow" a bit too much though.
other than that, keep up the great work, and best of luck -
From Michael:
"When we lose someone, their voice still echoes within our hearts, and the only way to see them again is within our dreams...until one day, God finally reunites us. I really liked it..the flow seemed to be parallel to that of death: flowing from natural to spiritual. I love it, thank you very much!" -

To Michael
Thank you. My deepest sympathies to you and your family, may your faith keep you strong.
Their voice remains with us for life, in time that becomes a great comfort and a reminder that we all meet again.
Blessed be
Jem
