I light the night
A ball of flames,
hiding myself in darkness
just to be ironic.
I attract you
with my warm glow
I reflect your heat
It's not my own
A secret that I keep,
Take me for granted.
When daylight comes
The mask falls,
my heat, my light dims
I turn to black
Unloved again
The fantasy gone,
fading. I am gone.
Reality is a hard pill to swallow.

I can quite resemble to what you have written here (unfortunately) but I like it a lot.
Thanks for entering the contest!
