Death's Valentine

Ribbons
     woven like asps
          seduced skin

nipping
     veins, tearing
          burrowing in

pain
     unfurled  inside
          hinting "I'm alive"

mocking,
     he pushed me
          like trash... aside

then
     my fingers...

gouged
     his eyes

Wow. This is really a very dark write for you. Are you feeling ok? I never got all that into Valentine's and all that. I don't think you should just show your love for someone on one day out of the year. If you're really in love and want to stay that way, you need to appreciate them in little ways all the time! I thought your poem was very expressive though and I liked your choice of images. I found it to be effective.
