Letters

I sit and write with my pen
Its ink is that of blue-
Representing the emotions you have
That lays heavy and deep upon you
A little cell is now your hell
Cold stonewalls hold you in
An innocent man who still stands
Amongst the guilty and the mad

So I take you under my wing so to speak
And have you close your eyes
With my words, I paint you a world
That doesn’t keep you confined
In my dreams I create for you
I give it all I have-
To free your mind inside of mine
To save you from your dread

You can never be a captive,
Or a prisoner who looses their heart
If you are willing to imagine
You are always free to roam with the stars
And if you come across troubles-
To where your mind cannot create a dream
I will hold your hand and guide you
Keeping your heart always free

So let fear not overwhelm you
You are not standing alone in the world
I’m always there beside you
Inside of those cold stonewalls
Do not forget though-
When the ray of light shines upon the wall
It’s the guided trail to lead you
Just let your mind follow

I stand there on that golden path
Showing you how to escape
The door is always open
Now that you know your way
So now, I fold my parchment
Sending this secret off to you
Giving you words of wisdom
In these letters I send to you

    That... was... amazing. *gapes* I can imagine that perfectly with all the wonderful imagery you used! Your work is the first on here so far that makes me feel like the voices in my head will beat me up if I don't give applause to you. So I will.
