Oh man of valor
let your heart be still,
Hear the whispers of
the masters will
Amidst the deserts arid plains
feel the warmth of Gods
gentle rain
As He guides you through
dangerous traps and snares,
with affectionate hands
that says He cares
Be not afraid of the arrow
by night or the pestilence
that cometh at noonday
Keep the faith and trust in Him
Though the night be dark and
sometimes grim
Remember we are on your side
with earnest wishes and
kindred pride
A mothers love will
see you through
So be courageous,vigilant
and always true
Hope and Faith in all you do
with love we send up
prayers especially for you
let your heart be still,
Hear the whispers of
the masters will
Amidst the deserts arid plains
feel the warmth of Gods
gentle rain
As He guides you through
dangerous traps and snares,
with affectionate hands
that says He cares
Be not afraid of the arrow
by night or the pestilence
that cometh at noonday
Keep the faith and trust in Him
Though the night be dark and
sometimes grim
Remember we are on your side
with earnest wishes and
kindred pride
A mothers love will
see you through
So be courageous,vigilant
and always true
Hope and Faith in all you do
with love we send up
prayers especially for you

Well done! This stirred my soul and gave me peace. Perfect! Thank you.

Brilliant.
I don't know any technical poetry terms, but i know a good poem when it echoes in the space between my heart and my soul. My spirit was massaged by this piece...it is simplified brilliance.

A mothers love will see you through.
Very heart felt. I have added him to my prayers.
May he have a very safe journey and come back home again soon. I am keeping the faith too.

I'm not a religious person but this was very good.
-
My first impression is that even without the pictures of holiness, I still feel very spiritual after each stanza. Purity radiates.

As always, you stun me with your imagery. The emotion in this simple write runneth over; if there were ever a reason to embrace this god as my saviour, your poem would be it.
My favourite stanza was this one:
"Be not afraid of the arrow
by night or the pestilence
that cometh at noonday..."
Excellent use of language and device! Well done, and much love always
Laura
