As I gaze upon your picture I miss you more heavily
the thought of you not being next to me makes me go weak
A large hole widens as my eyes soak in your figure
I see myself falling into it, wailing the whole way down.
And now my chest is aching
maybe from missing you,
maybe because I just used a majorly sketchy French face mask
and now my skin feels tight and pinpricky
perfectly matching my mood.
And it's been over a year
but I still imagine you're there
it still hasn't sunk in that there's one less life in this house
Your remains lay untouched but only by the postman.
Nothing makes me miss you more than this picture
and it's hard to look away
You're so pretty and lively
the way you used to be.
