a Child's Grace

Upon life's tree are simple pleasures
In every shape and style
Among its many special treasures
Is a child's all trusting smile

Whose laughing eyes of innocence
Cam mesmerize one's soul
And give as such, the perfect touch
To make our spirits whole

This shining grace within our hearts
Enlights our memory
Upon the laughing eyes that once were ours
That this child can see

So we laugh and talk as time stands still
In moment's without measure
upon life's tree the purest love
In the form of simple pleasure

Artie

Yes, there is nothing more pleasant and pleasing than the smile of an innocent child. This poem was beautifully written and spoke passionatley of the childs love. Lovely rhyme rhythm and the flow just right. Thank you for sharing with us.

  • As beautiful as a child's 1st smile......Love it ...feels pure... and right ...

I'm glad I got the opportunity to read this. It reminds me of the inside greeting in a card or a poem found upon an inspirational bookmark or beneath a picture. Not sure if that made sense!!No matter what, they are words of wisdom and touching beauty.
