This is Me

A soft spoken lady
that is as shy as can be,
a mother, grandmother...
yep.. that's me.

Someone that likes
her poetry in story form,
oh yes, you see
I forget what's the norm.

Fantasy, erotic,
tender and full of love,
I can write about them all,
even the child that became a dove.

Some say I have
a heart that's made of gold,
while others will say
I am hard, and so very cold.

Whom am I today
you might wish to say,
but does it really matter,
for I change from day to day.

Today, I could be writing
of love and happiness,
and tomorrow write
about being lonely and sadness.

So, I am me
and nothing more,
simple and happy
with smiles galore.

    Very well said.

lovely.. You are a great writer and a philosopher I must say. I never started this contest to get great poems writing in a brilliant manner, but just to know people better. And this is one among the entries that I'd truly admire because it you in the poem and no one else. Keep writing and good luck yo you in the contest.

    very sweetly writen

pleasant use of rhyme. metre a bit uneven, but then if writing were so inflexible as to count that against the writer, then, it wdn't be as rewarding as i find it. intersting that you chose to write a poem about the place of writing in your life. very concise summation of you as you see yourself.
