The Nursery Rhyme: Down in the Valley
Down in the valley,
The valley so low
Hang your head over
Hear the wind blow.
Hear the wind blow dear
Here the wind blow
Hang your head over
Hear the wind blow.
Writing this letter
Containing three lines
Answer my question
Will you be mine?
Will you be mine dear?
Will you be mine
Answer my question
Will you be mine?
Roses love sunshine
Violets love dew
Angels in Heaven
Know I love you.
Know I love you dear
Know I love you
Angels in heaven
Know I love you.
(I typed this from memory, lol, I grew up on a disney tapes full of nursery rhymes)
I dreamt of vallies
Prettily picturesque
In moments of child innocence.
The rhythm of nature flows
In waves so romantic
Begging my heart to dream.
I grew up on thoughts
Of flowers and hearts
Angels and dreams.
Love with an answer
To a question asked
With every beat of the heart.
To these thoughts I still cling
Imagining a heart full of love
And melodies rosey and hopeful.
