Mary, Mary, Bloody Mary

Mary, Mary
Bloody Mary
How does your garden grow?
With torturous bells
And genital shells
And guillotines all in a row.

Mary, Mary
On the contrary
How many more for the tombs below?
With silver bells
And cockleshells
And bloody maids all in a row.

Martyr, Martyr
Protestant Martyr
Sentenced to death by Mary’s scorn
With news of hell
Rung by defiant bells
Heart’s broken in half and torn

Author notes

This is what the children's rhyme "Mary, Mary, quite contrary" is about.... Kept it simple so it still had a sense of a nursery rhyme.

    Wow!
Dark. Gruesome. Body parts scattered all over a garden. It's a really disasterous scene.
