on the wings of prayer

as the smell
of freshly mown lawn

mingled with the beauty
of Monday's early morn,

I envisioned peace, released
in flights of feathered ease

and for the first time
in my fragmented life

I breathed...

I clicked on this because I love your name, nom de plume, french for "name of pen" or pen name, and was a tad bit reserved because I am not religous. However I truly enjoyed this and found that it was not strictly for the religous, but for everyone, like my old friends poetry. I found that his poem brought all of my memories of him back, and I truly enjoyed that without remorse of hearing a bunch of religous crap that I dont feel like dealing with. Du Rien,
    Darkness Hide Your Soul.
