Black and Blue

So many precious little kids
With their bodies all black and blue
Their parents are tellin fibs
People are actin like they aint gotta clue
They say they can’t be bothered
Say they had a “rough” day
So they turn their backs on the kids hiding and scared
They don’t really know what happens behind closed doors
Little baby Brianna just six months old
Being tossed up to the ceiling and dropped to the floors
Daddy rapes her she’s just six months old
Her uncle does it too
They throw her up, let her drop once more
Little baby Brianna lost her life didn’t even get to live to age two
Little baby Peter was just a little toddler
His step daddy kicked him time and time again
Pulled off his finger nails, but Peter was a battler
He was a tough little boy he held on but his grip was thin

so she could be safe and happy again away from the hurt and the distress
but her step daddy beat her more, her grandma filled with concern
just days before her daddy came home too pick up the mess
her step daddy kicked her in the stomach ending all the pain
instead of a happy homecoming her daddy had to lay his little girl to rest
her life ended in misery but we will never forget her braveness or her name
little baby kelsey was only three years old, she never got to see what lied beyond the past
theirs so many innocent little kids but everyone just looks a way actin like they aint gotta clue
