The moon rises
Calling her
To throw off her guises
Through the trees
She runs free
Silver light echoing
Her unseen beauty
Stars shine
In her sapphire eyes
As, in the forest,
The wind sighs
An owl takes flight
Calling in the night
Perking her ears
To his soft voice
By the river
She stops
Her reflection she ponders
Even as he closes in
Her mind wanders
To past and future
He circles above
Ever closer
Just as she finally sees
Who she may be
He swoops in
And away
Her heart his prey
Now she looks
Into the night sky
And in the depths of her
She knows
In his bed she shall lie
Until time and love
Fade away
Calling her
To throw off her guises
Through the trees
She runs free
Silver light echoing
Her unseen beauty
Stars shine
In her sapphire eyes
As, in the forest,
The wind sighs
An owl takes flight
Calling in the night
Perking her ears
To his soft voice
By the river
She stops
Her reflection she ponders
Even as he closes in
Her mind wanders
To past and future
He circles above
Ever closer
Just as she finally sees
Who she may be
He swoops in
And away
Her heart his prey
Now she looks
Into the night sky
And in the depths of her
She knows
In his bed she shall lie
Until time and love
Fade away
Author notes
I'm actually using rhyme *gasp*, neither of my characters are overtly wolf or fox, in fact the female is more easily seen as human, I'm actually using an owl to represent my new love, and not so much description of the moon as usual.
