Beautiful New Room

designer's dream, this room reeks of detachment-
the carapace of abstract slimness and clean lines
removes all clutter of warmth, vitality and you.

Your words are the soulful contrast to her stark new reality... Sometimes people do need to wipe the slate clean... to draw a new beginning!!! Some do and some will refill it with more of the same, sigh... Both powerful and compelling!!!

Oh I know what you mean... These abstract new modern ideas of even colors in rectangular shapes and furniture molding a linear sceleton in unison. It is far too grimm and uncomfortable to be in a room such as that. I understand you completely.

Awesome imagery and so wise. Such power in just 3 lines.

This reminds me of some of the TV home shows where they redo a room to supposedly appeal to the owners or sellers and prospective buyers. They want everything personal removed from the room (s) with the reasoning that it's too personal.
But when you take out all of the identifying personal traits of a room, it does indeed take it's soul along with it.

You've done a creative first three lines for a poem, enticing the reader to look for more.

    Good luck in the contest

    Dee

      Thank you

That's exactly how I felt when I walked in the room. Like her soul had been stripped clean away. I dearly hope she changes it and adds her own personal touches that are so unique to her. I can't see her being happy with the current state that it is in.

  • damn! hetha a threat lol i must say my self doll now who going to touch this? and this power came just from a room stunning

I think I understand this. A long while ago I removed all traces of my son because the reminders always hurt too much. The lines of the room didn't change but a part of me was gone!
