Time to Time

Moons pass through clouded night,
And my eyes can not see with you,
Nor can I reach to your arms delight,
When the day is through.

Keep at bay the sea of your heart,
Fear not no bridge should break,
No towering mountains can keep us apart,
But for now your love I must fake.

No way to carry a red rose so fair,
As to carry my bags on foot,
Your love shall preserve, shouldn’t tear,
As a mighty tree from its root.

Should nights be too long and days cold,
Hear the song I sing,
Keep warm the hands I love to hold,
Keep close and guard your ring.

Love, should you stay and wait for me
Bring back, to you, the god of sun,
Lock the moon away and give the stars to thee,
To do all the things I’ve left undone.

I’d give you all and all I’d give,
Every moment from time let go,
I’d come back to make you live,
And to show my love just how you know.

This flow is lovely and the thoughts within this are so soft and lilting. This is a beautiful rhyming scheme here, the meter is off a tad in spots but the thoughts are just so lovely it doesn't detract at all C
