Where is the market for love and happiness?
I want to purchase some hope and some dreams.
I will not dicker over the expenses.
I’ve learned how costly these commodities are.
How much does it cost to get a broken heart?
I have paid dearly for the one that I have.
First it cracked but now is shattered completely.
The pieces tumble around me like lost dreams.
There is no way to repair the mess I’ve made.
I’ve come to the market to begin again.
There is a high price tag for new beginnings.
Lost love is priceless; it cannot be purchased.
The love I had was precious golden sunlight.
I squandered it away with careless actions.
This love was the greatest gift I ever had.
It cannot be replaced by anything else.
I had no appreciation for true love.
I took it for granted so frivolously.
My heart lies shattered on the ground around me.
I trample the remnants with heavy footsteps.

this is beautiful jane.i think you have captured the feeling so well.love works in many ways.we can be the one in love and the other is not in love the same way.also we can be loved and we are the one to throw it back and regret it later. life is precious and few realize that.loved this especially in my melancholy.
