Sweet Angel

Sweet angel, angelic voice
Curiosity makes you a woman
To tread the life you know little of
To feed your heart it’s desired food

Beautiful child so young of age
Life has held you secured,
Yet irrationally you spare a thought
On false pretenses you change your world

For a love at first sight
Such a sight, indeed
You will find him, you must be his
It does not matter how it is succumb

A sea witch, are you truly sure?
Why ask her for unduly measure?
Steal your voice, to find this prince
Is he worth it? How do you truly know?

Three days to test if your heart is true
Is he your prince, or are you a fool?
Work so hard to show your love
And maybe you will be his forever

Yet witches do as witches do
And tricksters fool the naïve fool
Poor young angel, are you to lose?
Trust not so, he is yours to keep

Enter fine friends to create a flurry
And make the witch the fool
Revenge to save a life well wished
And alas to trick the evil witch

Freedom finally calls so dear
And father’s forgiveness is perfect
He will grant you with his heart
Everything you’ve ever dreamed of

And marry him, you young angel
For his arms are welcoming
And his heart is full for you
And live your happily ever after
