Meh

I haven't written a poem in like two and a half years.  I really haven't thought about writing a poem or story until recently either. 

I think photography and the structure of column/journalism writing has rotted my mind.  If I can't say it by pushing a button or some witty one liner that I used in my Sideline Sulking column, I can't seem to find the words for anything.

I've become more and more a visual thinker in the last two years.  Good from a photography and design stand point, bad when you consider that photographers are less than a dime a dozen nowadays and I'm really not sure how far I can get on my photography now.  By the way of a side rant:  Just because you own an iPhone, doesn't mean you're a photographer.  Quit killing what is probably the only industry I really have a chance at succeeding in you lame piece of garbage.  And if you're going to post your crappy photos of even crappier graffiti, for God's sake make sure that your vertical photos are VERTICAL before you post them.  That pisses me off to no end.

Anyway, back to the point.  Wait, that's right...I never had one.  Not now...not when I posted my first poem here...not ever.

For the record, I know this probably sucks worst than something that sucks really bad.  I don't really care either.  blah.

    Au contraire (or however that is spelled.) Your prose has definitely matured over the years. I am a good judge, I've read most of it. It's become tight, cohesive and follows the premise you set down. Those last columns and this one are excellent. We have to find our voices. My poetry sucks, my fiction is better, my non-fiction maybe better than both. We just have to find that voice and form that fits us.

    Know what I am saying? Me either, lol No, I mean, your non-fiction writing is good!

    I don't have an iphone. I don't have a digital camera. I barely have a 35 mm camera, lol
